I would recommend this movie for teen audiences, certainly a family movie.

Great adaptation of the musical. Lacked in the storylines of Abuela, Nina and Benny's relationship, and Camila being cut as an integral part of the story.

I would recommend to adults who like musicals. I loved the diversity in the film. I felt there were too many singing scenes and not enough talking scenes when dialogue was important. The music was good but not varied enough, it was almost too much Boriqua themed. With all the sexual innuendos, I was left wondering who exactly the audience is intended for this film even though it is PG 13.

Strong, slick product. Lacking a bit in focus and direction. Also a very literal adaptation of the stage musical. I was hoping for a bit more imagination in the jump from stage to film.
