Well, it didn’t take long for Michael Bay to produce a Covid movie. In Songbird Covid has been around for 4 years and has evolved as well as become more deadly. The movie is kind of frightening because of everything happening in the real world it makes this film hit a little more home. This film strike such a nerve because of how fresh the topic is and it’s kind of scary having a look at what the worse timeline possible for this virus could be. It’s full of an interesting cast including people like Craig Robinson, Demi Moore, Alexandria Daddario, and the guy who absolutely steals the show Peter Stormare. Stormare gives one hell of a performance on par with some of his best work like Fargo. He steals every scene he is in and you can’t take your eyes off him. He’s definitely a bright point of the film and gives it a shot life anytime he’s on screen. Songbird is a pretty entertaining watch with some decent suspense scenes. (5.5/10)

A very mediocre film with a very basic script that once again proves how bad Michael Bay is.

Sorry, I don't think it works. The performances are typically strained, far too often you can see the seams as this was shot around the the constraints caused by the pandemic, I didn't find any of the core character relationships (particularly KJ Apa - Sofia Carson and Alexandria Daddario - Paul Walter Hauser) to be compelling, and the story is thin and doesn't end up going anywhere meaningful. With a project like this, it was always going to be a high wire act that it'd either resonate or, if it couldn't stick the landing with its characters, narrative, and themes, cheap exploitation. Unfortunately, for me, it didn't stick the landing, so it felt like the latter.

The premise is a good one, about the kind of future we may face with a pandemic. The first half of the film is engaging, but the last half devolves into chase scenes inside an almost nonsensical, illogical plot.
