The brother-and-sister leads definitely carries the film with "The Grabber" as the perfect foil. The story is not a downer and reminds me a lot of inspirational classics like Stand By Me and The Shawshank Redemption. And lastly, it doesn't make the kids annoying for the viewers as it shows their resilience, resourcefulness, and ingenuity compared to the unreliable adults around them.

Just an enjoyable movie, some good jump scares, being set in 1973 everything looked awesome, soundtrack was really cool, felt like a big screen version of criminal minds, the criminal part not the FBI part

Horror movies are not my typical thing. But I wanted to see it because of Ethan Hawke. I was jumping in my seat but at the end I was crying. The movie bought out a range of emotions. It wasn’t terribly corny as some horror flicks are. Definitely a solid movie and the audience seemed to enjoy the movie.

PRETTY SOLID FILM. VERY INTENSE AT TIMES. YOU FIND YOURSELF ROOTING HARD FOR THE MAIN CHARACTER.
