The movie itself felt rushed. The explanations for all the Minecraft world, like the characters, weapons, and different realms were quickly explained. Jack Black, who played Steve, was entertaining. Jason Mamoa, who played Garret, AKA Garbage Man, was surprisingly cast in a different type of role that you don’t see him in. The plot itself was predictable as was the ending, typical of a video game turned movie. Overall, it was entertaining to the kids in the audience, and for the adults, it helps that the main casts were good actors, which makes the movie enjoyable.

A MINECRAFT MOVIE was a fun movie to watch with my 14-year-old who loves playing Minecraft. I really enjoyed it, the acting was great, and I found the movie entertaining all the way through. Although my child said there were some inaccuracies, I still think it is worth it to go and see A MINECRAFT MOVIE with your whole family.

It was very funny and entertaining, but if you aren't familiar with the game, it won't make a lot of sense and could be misleading, and if you are familiar with the game, it didn't reference the game enough.

Very simple. Pacing is fast, characters and story lack depth. Not a pad film for children but not as memorable as some other children’s films.
