What a well made movie. It was the perfect length of time to go back to Michael Jackson’s childhood with his brothers in the Jackson 5. The dynamic with his father Joseph was perfectly depicted tastefully. But definitely showed the friction between father and son in Michael Jackson’s life. Catherine, the mother’s character Nia Long was great. I appreciated the important parts of Michael Jackson’s life during the 80s that the movie showed and his exceptional talent and kindness. Great cast of actors in the movie as well.

The storytelling was superb! The cinematography and coloring was beautiful and the acting, brilliant!

It was great to relive those years with MJ and to focus on a triumphant moment that despite the challenges would define the rest of his life and career. The soundtrack was of course phenomenal -- so great to dance and sing along to from your seat -- and a great reminder how much Michael's music was the backdrop of my teenage and young adult years. Jaafar & Juliano portrayed MJ so well!
