Very disjointed. I’m not sure if it was supposed to be horror, action, romance or sci fi. The relationship between the parents with the sick child wasn’t realistic; the little girl felt like a throw in for some sort of emotional depth. Unfortunately, she didn’t show up enough to make it worth her being there, especially since her parents were emotionally bankrupt. There were 3 (?) main stories going on here and it should have been focused on 1 or 2 with more details added. I gave Songbird 2 stars because the beginning was genuinely frightening given the current climate, but the lack of strong story arc and the feel good ending (as though the virus wasn’t as bad as it had been only a couple days before?) left me thinking all the tension built in the first act was for nothing.

Half baked plot, pointless ending

Songbird was unrealistic and predictable.

The cast was excellent...so many big stars in it. It was also beautifully shot. The script wasn't interesting or clever. There were only a few exciting moments. Plus, I don't think too many people want to think about another pandemic a few years from now so the timing is not good. Thank you very much for the screening,
