I think it was dumb that they made Sofia Carson's character immune and totally wrote around the concept of the relationship shown in the movie's promotional materials. Feels cheap and a rip-off. Besides that, the release of this movie feels very manipulative and in bad taste. Doesn't say anything worth the reminder of quarantine and the pandemic, KJ Apa's last lines feel very hollow in this regard.

Songbird was okay, but I won't watch it again. It was somewhat anticlimactic. I was expected more action due to this being a pandemic movie. It didn't have the feel of the dystopian society I look forward to. The immunity bracelets were a great part and could have been played up more

The acting was great, but the storyline was all over the place. The action seems so random and disjointed. There were also a ton of scenes with so many camera jumps, it's like it took a ton of takes to be stitched together into one piece and ends up looking spazzy. It's decently enjoyable but hard to take seriously.

By the time the movie was half way over, literally nothing had happened. We don't get any reason to actually care about or root for these characters, and by the time it is over, the story doesn't even make sense. She was immune the whole time?!?? How the hell would Nico have found out that HE was immune, but somehow she manages to be oblivious about her own immunity? This is sadly a messy script, and a wasted pool of talent.
