The shifting tone of the film from horror to sit com and rom com and back again kept us tensely perched on the edge of our seats. Would Cassie ever exhaust her rage and sorrow and allow herself to reach for happiness? Nooo...\rA couple of cavils: The visual tone (and some casting) was weird; the locales and Cassie's parents were so bizarre that they leant a nightmarish, not-of-this-world ambiance which fought with the concept that sexual predation is a ghastly fact of life--this life. Sometimes the score and background sound design manipulated the audience's emotions too aggressively.

The acting, writing, and cinematography are outstanding. The plot is both unique and surprising. The end is extremely disturbing, but then again, so is the subject of the film itself. Even so, it is an important subject that this film brings to light in a very artful and unique way.

There were some missing pieces I didn’t understand but overall a good movie.

Interesting take on a difficult subject...great acting esp \r by Carey Mulligan! I was hoping she wasn't really \r dead! (at the end)...\r\r Thank you for letting me be a part of this. So fun, so \r enjoyable!!
