A bit predictable in a lot of parts. But pulled at the heart strings! Expected more humor but still liked the plot.

Nice story, likeable characters, and pretty good dialogue. The pacing seemed slow occasionally and some of the comedic beats weren't my fave. Overall, I liked Half Brothers and felt the film invited discourse on some social issues/dynamics without being heavy-handed.

The actors were all good in their roles, however the filmmakers' contempt for The United States of America, portraying every American character besides a few nuns as thugs, simpletons, or general A-holes was distasteful. If that was their goal, to show how horrible Americans are, then they succeeded. Otherwise the comedy elements were well done, but the air of disgust made enjoyment of the film difficult and blunted the overall experience.

It was a step above "Dumb & Dummer" but not my kind of movie
