Sally Hawkins portrayal of Maud was nothing short of extraordinary. Ethan Hawke was also admirable in his sometimes sweet, sometimes abusive role. The movie was both touching and an emotional rollercoaster. The viewer becomes deeply invested in the characters. The cinematography was stunning and makes you want to take a trip to the Maritimes to experience it for yourself.

It's an interesting portrayal of Maude's life. It was witty, funny and wonderfully emotional. Ethan Hawke did a great job in this complex character opposite Maude - a great performance.

Hawkins captured the real-life Maud's mischievous spark and the way she convinced her husband to do what she wanted. The trailer was so like the actresses in the role. we enjoyed the movie.
