A great exploration of the science fiction genre. The ending felt a bit forced in terms of the producers wanting a feel good ending, but it was quite enjoyable to watch. The exploration of isolation themes were also great.

The first 4/5's of the film was absolutely spectacular! The chemistry between Jim & Aurora was delightful and captivating, and the way the ship/future tech were realized took my breath away. The film shifted from a 5 to a 4 when Laurence Fishburne's character appeared and the 3rd-act crisis took charge of the narrative. It was still good & satisfying, but I was disappointed to see another drawn-out near-death revival scene -- wish it had been played for humor instead of false suspense.
