I was delighted by the ensemble cast, which distracted me from the possibility of the plot, going in. I was then shocked by the plot, but that was a wonderful surprise. The pacing was bizarre, given the rushed start, the slow middle, and the even slower end. The intimacy between the lead characters was lovely, and Christian Bale and Robert DeNiro were two stand-out performances.

Cast is great , but film went very slow and confusing . The last 15 min was fine .

Very entertaining story with some strange acting. Fun twists and likeable characters.

Strong ensemble cast. Little known history with a fictionalized depiction, but full of little gems that parallel current times. Basically, high-brow comedy, with a little history and hopeful warnings not to repeat. Beautifully done.
