Not for small children or people who do not like violence and nudity. It is how man got thru the days before we became civilized of a sort in all its gory details. It is a warning we might be still there in a lot of ways.\r

Compared to Eggers's "The Witch" and "The Lighthouse," this story unfolded on a larger scale. In other words, the claustrophobic (in a good way) sensation of the two previous films are not present here--which makes sense because this is an epic. Amaleth's name and the Hamlet-style plot of the first act was a bit too on the nose, but the latter acts make up for it. The sound design and score are incredible.

Visually stunning movie and reminiscent of the older epic films.

There were a few parts that seemed to be drawn out, but overall liked it.
