Up-beat, fun, but predictable.

Was an interesting story and enjoyable to watch.

This movie gives viewers a look at the challenges faced by deaf people and also deals with family dynamics as older kids try to discover themselves apart from their parents. Other than some unnecessary use of profanity, I enjoyed the movie and found it to be sweet, funny, and engaging. It is a good coming of age film.

I really enjoyed the movie. I would have liked the ending to show her away at college and her future success as a singer. Kind of felt left hanging. What happened to the family fishing business without her? What happened to her relationship with Miles?
