I enjoyed this film more than I thought I would. The trailer caught my attention because I enjoy different stories, and being the only hearing person in a family is definitely unique and different. I especially liked how they used the sound and absence of sound during certain scenes. It really amplified the tone that the actors were projecting. It was a good story with a feel-good ending.

Overall I thought it was a good movie. I loved seeing Marlee Maitlin. She is an amazing actress. The rest of the cast was great too. I'm not biologically a CODA, but I learned sign language as a child from my sisters' Father. It's refreshing to see a family who is deaf overcome adversity. The only thing I didn't care for was the song choices. I grew up on Motown. It fell flat with the kids singing

Well performed, if predictable. A very thoroughly enjoyable family movie!
