Great music and cinematography accompany string vignettes of the island Latin culture in New York. My wife is Puerto Rican and grew up in Long Island, so this was especially dear to her. The movie was maybe 10-15 minutes longer than it needed to be, and a few of the subplots were extraneous. Most notably, Nina’s love story felt a bit disjointed and could be cut, even though Benny is great.

It was good, and I liked the message. However it seemed to drag on in some spots. It was a bit too long.

It was great!----very up movie-simple story -but heart warming

The thing I liked the most is the message of the movie, of course the overall message about immigration and coming to America to fulfill the American dream, but also the message of living the moment and remembering to be in the present and make the best out of it. The music and choreographies were all captivating and contribute seamlessly to the evolution of the story
