Startling and shocking, with shades of Tarantino but without the direct violence. We watched this as a group from our separate homes and there were a variety of feelings about it but only one of our group of about 8 disliked it. But I don't think it's for everyone. (And we wondered why the filmmakers insisted on making the 35-year-old actress playing Cassie as 30. Everyone thought she looked older than 30.

It was hard to watch because no one else understood or acknowledged male culpability, except for the lawyer with an attack of conscience, and because she had to die for her awareness. But it was satisfying to see the guilty ones finally get what they deserve. The acting was terrific.
