As a Hispanic myself I appreciated the positive image portrayed of the Latin culture and it was very accurate. The music was good and entertaining.

Pacing was a little off between fast and slow beats, but story was told in a very impactful and beautiful way.

I thought in the heights was an amazing movie that makes you feel good and celebrates Latin culture beautifully. The one criticism I have about this movie is that it is very different from the original Broadway musical. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing but if you are a dedicated fan of the musical you shouldn’t go into this movie with the same mindset as you would seeing the stage production.
