I cried. I laughed. It was amazing. I had only listened to the soundtrack, but I loved the visual representation. It did a great job of creating a cast movie. My one critique is that the visual special effects need to start earlier in the movie, so we buy into it at the beginning, not 40 minutes in.

In the Heights is a beautiful, vibrant, and exciting take on the original musical, and with its palpable passion and extravagant dance numbers it is the perfect film to watch as we move past the pandemic.
