My immediate reaction was that Carey looked a bit too old for the part. Indeed, I took the time to look her up on the internet. The film also seemed a bit dis-jointed. Acts 1,2, and 3 seemed like different movies. I thought I was watching one story when it morphed into a different story. Carey's death scene is quite disturbing. That will be burned into my memory forever. Indeed, the whole film is disturbing and raises some real issues about the "harmless" things men do. Despite my minor quibbles, it was a tale well told. Carey was excellent and I would like to see it again.

Good but not amazing. Carey Mulligan is awesome in it though. And loved there was some twists at the end. Thanks for the experience!

I thought it was a good movie. Not what I expected. I was pleasantly surprised.

I think it was a unique film in the sense that we haven't seen this type of subject matter being the driving plot of a film before. I think it's really important to open a lot of people's eyes to the fact that things like this happen allllllllll the time (more than I bet we'd like to believe) and it has real, damaging effects on people. I thought the dark subject matter was executed in a very tasteful way, considering I thought I'd be in for a film full of uncomfortable scenes of sexual violence, but it did well to steer away from that and not use it for any shock factors.
