Great acting. Disjointed story telling. Not leaving the theatre with much to think about. I don’t imagine I’d come back to this one.

The acting and costuming were excellent, but the story lacked a compelling development: the characters were concretized in an ultimately unresolvable conflict.Additionally, the ending was unsettlingly vague.Thank you for the opportunity to see the movie and to give feedback.

The clothes were beautiful. Daniel Day-Lewis and Vicky Krieps are both excellent actors. I disliked most of the music intensely. (I enjoyed the Debussy string quartet and the Schubert Piano trio, but did not understand what they were doing in the sound-track.) The Reynolds Woodcock character (Daniel Day-Lewis) was not likeable and the story was not a good love story, since Alma had to poison Reynolds to get him to stay with her. Very strange and bizarre.
