Excellent movie based on a true story! Excellent acting! Probably hard to watch for those that served in combat because of the extensive gruesome battle scenes.

Awesome........ couldn't leave my seat...... God is great....... so was this movie.........

The movie was a beautiful story of a man's strong beliefs and how he stood by them. It was a great film in spite of the horrific battle scenes, although it is understandable in order to realize how the enemy at the time was trained. Mel Gibson definitely deserves high accolades for superb movie!

A great show of patriotism in a time of war with a young man willing to stand by his convictions. He is determined to save lives through his beliefs. In addition, his old-fashioned courtship, devotion to the woman he loves, etc provides strength to him; & shows a time when pursuit of happiness meant something to a relationship , whereas, relationships in modern times are littered with infidelity..
