This was a holiday treat with a mix of action/adventure, Home Alone type hijinx, and some family drama. Delightful holiday fun.

Violent Night turns out to be exactly what you expect from the trailers, and that's a good thing. The movie is a violent (it's in the name!), gory Wick-type movie with a surprisingly charming and warm heart to it revolving around Santa and his relationship to the children of the world, specifically the child he finds in danger.

Suspense

The movie was not your traditional family Christmas movie. It still had the Christmas message and provided some soft moments, but it was the most gory film that I have seen in awhile. I wouldn’t recommend children under 14 to watch it because of the violence. But, I thought it was a good movie. It was funny too!
