A well constructed story but a little too long and sentimental

The film was full with wonderful costumes and sets. But the dialogue was stiff and cliche, the plot weak and the happiness between upstairs and downstairs was too saccharine.

Not enough plot; a bit boring. Should have had more interesting storylines.

It was enjoyable but predictable. It did a good job of tying up everything in a nice bow so it didn’t feel like anything was left unanswered.
