It had it's moments, but not great. It just never connects the dots enough to satisfy.

It was funny with some really great themes about family and relationships. Reese W and Will F had good chemistry. My husband and I did not care for all of the vulgar language. It really wasn't necessary and would be a great movie for younger audiences had it not been present. It was also distracting.

Premise had some promise. Dialogue at times seemed contrived, forced extremely sophomoric. The Manning/Jonas cameos were good...needed more Jack McBrayer. Will was Will. Reese was a gorgeous and clever as ever. Their chemistry in the beginning was again forced...but got better. The Alligator scene was instant classic. But way too many instances of misunderstanding, miscommunication to be entertaining. Boat Captain character could have been developed more. (She's a riot) All in all it was cute...heartfelt at times. I would not recommend that anyone spend $ to see it in the theaters.

Too much unnecessary vulgar foul language. Mfer used numerous times and the F word used repeatedly throughout the entire movie. Alligator scene was stupid. Way overdid the antics between the father and daughter. One fellow viewer expressed it was nearly identical to do many other wedding flicks already out there. They tried way to hard to make the humor work when in turn it just didn't flow. You sort of expect this from Ferrell, but not at all from Reese. Very disappointing, expected much higher level of entertainment.
