Hacksaw Ridge is a war movie - I generally don't go to see war movies. Most of time the horrors of war were shown, I covered my eyes. But the premise of the film - about a person's convictions and abiding by those beliefs to only help people rather than kill them are honestly presented and well done. Really 3 1/2 stars for this movie.

Amazing that this is a true story, but I wish it was more clear it was a religious movie.

I like the story very much, it is a very interesting anecdote and I was happy to learn about this character, a Ghandi-like Figure. However I found a contradiction in a movie which topic is against the use of violence, but it shows a lot of violence all the time. At some point it seemed like a Gore-Movie with all the dismembered bodies. I found the acting good, but nothing really amazing

It may be a little too realistic for some people. A good portrayal of combat.
