I loved this when I saw it on Broadway and it was great to see the film! First - the music is wonderful - beautifully written, orchestrated, mixed, and produced. I also loved the filmmaking - the lighting was phenomenal, the choreography was so great and Mr, Chu's choices were awesome - from the overhead shots at the pool to the dancing on the side of a building, etc. Would absolutely recommend!

Such a fantastic film, and such a wonderful relief to watch after this year. I live in Washington Heights, and every shot of the streets brought tears to my eyes. \r\rI think the stage version is a bit stronger dramaturgically - it makes more sense for Sonny and Pete to do a mural of Abuela to convince Usnavi to stay, than Vanessa doing a fashion project overnight. But I still loved this version!\r
