I liked it. It combined a few elements from both the cartoon movie and the cartoon tv series.

Great film which really does the original Manga/Animated Series justice! Some liberty was taken - the writers were able to combine content from multiple seasons/movies in a coherent and captivating way that holds it own against the original content. Though whitewashing is a serious issue, anyone familiar with the story understands "Major" is a "European model" cybernetic... Just a thought...
