I’m not sure I would categorize this as a horror film. It was more suspense than anything. I normally don’t watch horror movies and this definitely didn’t fall in that category. I enjoyed The Black Phone and enjoyed Ethan Hawke in this role.

It reminds me a lot of sinister which ironically enough has 2 of the actors from that movie. I really enjoyed this movie. Ethan Hawke was amazing as the antagonist. Made you feel uncomfortable the whole time.

I enjoyed the movie but at the same time feel it could have been so much better a movie without all the curse words. So many more people could go see it without the rating of "R"

I really liked the movie! It was slow in the beginning, but it came around in the end. I could not honestly give it five stars, as there was a need for some character development and backstory on the villain and the mother. Overall, it was an enjoyable flick.
