Sometimes clever and funny, but often horrifically clichéd and bad.

The one positive that I can say after having seen this film is that it was very well casted. However, it was very poorly written. I feel the writer went OVERBOARD in drumming up conservative fear with obvious stereotypes in order to support the storyline of Linda (Ricki) being who she is. It was not necessary. I won't be a film I will purchase. #FAIL on this one.

I went because it was a Meryl Streep movie. The movie was awful. It had a half plot & I didn't feel enlightened nor was it a enjoyable watch. It never said why she was so very broke & nobody wanted to give her a penny. I don't know why the studios allowed her to use her own voice without that correction Mick. She did however look the part of a washed up old hard living street walker.

Absolute waste of time and of Meryl Streep's acting talents. Who talked her into this crass, crude low-life of a movie???? What someone cashing in on a favor owed?!
