Lead actress Marisa Abela captures the raw power of Amy’s vocals along with ragged edges of her self tortured life. The chemistry with Jack O’Connell as boyfriend/husband Blake shines wickedly throughout the film with their chem fueled lust led relationship which second to Nan seems to be the be a in Amy’s short lived existence as well as the key motivation of the much acclaimed album.

Very well, done acting was incredible. Think I’d like to have seen a little bit more character development.

The movie was better than expected. I 'm not sure why rotten tomatoes gave it a 36% favorability rating The movie offered an insight to Amy Winehouse's life,how it inspired her music/lyrics and how fame and heartache led to her demise.
