Life-threatening drama and realism

Good movie and is non stop. A few holes here and there but they can be overlooked. Gerard Butler is always a great lead for action movies, sci fi and in this case apocalypse survival.

The visual effects were great. The main actors were very good, even the 7-year old had his moments. Kind of a predictable ending.

Very hard hitting considering the current pandemic situation mirrors the worldwide catastrophe albeit at a smaller scale. Too many characters were killed off for no reason. Every time they got close to someone you immediately knew they were going to die. Although this focused on the story of one family, some value could have been added if they had reduced the drama elements and followed a few different families showing different experiences. I did love the movie as is also however and would recommend to others.
