It was a nice movie, but it felt a bit cheesy and predictable. I also felt that it played into stereotypes a bit too much

the film couldn't decide if it should be a comedy or drama. very predictable ending.

Often smarmy, but with enough laughs and beautiful scenery to make it worth watching. Disappointed to see the "veiled" swipe at immigration policies. We have enough political nonsense going on without having to be hit over the head with it in movies too. If you want to see a funny movie about "brothers", stick with "Stepbrothers".

It's an amusing story with an enduring message. A good family film for families with young teens. I expected more reality in how it played out, so unlikely circumstances and unrealistic time frames were distracting, but once I realized this was the way the film was intended, I lightened up. Reminded me of Secondhand Lions from 1993. My family enjoyed that film.
