I loved it on so many levels. Smart, funny, heartbreaking, and beautiful. Will definitely keep an eye on this director. Thanks for free screening!

Very good film. Very authentic. All four of the main characters were well acted and delineated, especially the two from Syria and Aphganistan. I didn't particularly like the portrayal of the whites on the island, who I think would in real life be more varied. But the cinematogrophy captured the essence of the frozen north of always waiting.

A sweet film humanizing refugees. it took me a while to get into it, but I liked the characters, story, and script, and was happy I stuck with it. It was very frustrating that I waited so long to hear him play his oud, and when I finally did, and was loving the music, the song was interrupted and replaced with soundtrack music that wasn't half as good as the music coming from the oud. I would have preferred to have had at least the song play out. It's as if the director was afraid the audience, who just got to know these characters, wouldn't like this fundamental piece of culture.
