It was entertaining

Your milage may vary, but I felt that the first two acts of this film were great. It is in the 3rd act that the film stumbles, leading into an ending that just isn’t tragic or scary enough to match to the rest of the film. That being said, I didn’t feel it was a waste of time, and you might enjoy the ending. It is definitely a different take from the old film and different from the book.

Good jump scares. Child actress played role very well. Movie was quite predictable and ending could have been better.

The movie itself was very well made, great acting and horror elements - however, the ending was awful. It was extremely different from the book, and it felt very cliche. The climax felt much shorter than it should have been. Overall, I found the ending much less scary than the source material. However, the rest of the movie was excellent, so definitely worth watching! I particularly loved Jud.
