Not very interisting. To many flashbacks to really nothing about the story. Lost interest. Poorly done.

McKay is so close to make a masterpiece here but totally fails at almost every level. The concept that emerges 2/3 of the way through the film of treating modern politics in the Shakespearian mode is interesting but the film can't commit to it enough to make the film work. The screenplay acts as if it is letting us in on government secrets but I literally could have written this screenplay in 2009 when I was 14. One of the worst movies I have ever seen and it just became more worse as the movie continued. I was hoping for an interesting clear movie of that time period, instead I was very disappointed. The pace was slow. It was very biased and filled with overused propaganda. It just regurgitated and gave into every media stereotype and bias, instead of being factual and truthful. It was not fact based at all. It completely skipped over the scandal years of the Clinton's and the mess Obama left with Iran. It was not a good movie, I kept hoping it would get better, but it didn't.
