It was better than I thought. I would recommend it to friends and family.

It's slow in the beginning, which I realize it has to in order to build on the character but it's still slow. the end is great.

I was curious to see how a dark movie/character would fit in the MCU. After all, Venom eats people. I wonder if he could eat Thanos?Needless to say it works. I am looking forward to his meeting with Spiderman/Peter Parker. I enjoyed the humor especially Venoms lines. It grounded the movie and made Venom the perfect antihero. Visually this movie was great! Loved Venom's voice!

The movie had an unusual buddy movie feel. The Symbiote and the hero worked together at first imperfectly and then better and better. This is the usual format for a good buddy film. The conversation between Brock and the symbiote was entertaining and really showed the evolution of their relationship. The movie also showed that a decent human can indeed help change the attitudes of those around them.While I generally don't like when origin stories are changed, the changes worked.
