Entertaining with an interesting plot. Good action but storyline did not live up to its potential.

It's a dark topic so I'm sure my views are skewed by the current pandemic situation IRL but I found the plot somewhat contrived. Demi Moore gave a very lackluster performance, or maybe her character just wasn't well-written. The villain character (Bradley Whitford) was more of a caricature. The scenery and cinematography was really well done, and conveyed a great sense of a dystopian world between the haves and the have-nots. That was the best part of the movie.

I felt SONGBIRD storyline was rushed. I felt this could have been a really, really good movie if it expanded on the background of the characters and the writer took a little more time in developing the story. The acting was good. I just felt there was so much more potential here and was left a little disappointed because after seeing the trailer I had high expectations, but was kind of left empty at the end.

A movie that takes a lot of chances. Hits hard with a situation we are all loving with still. A fun ride.
