It was funny, catchy, fast-paced, and had some excellent creative camera work & effects.

Great music and dancing. Beautiful set and cinematography.

The movie is as touching as the musical. Even more so. It talks about important themes such as community, sense of belonging and rights, without feeling like a class. The music, the colors, the choreography, all transport us to the neighborhood. I felt part of it, even though I've never been to Washington Heights. We know these people, these dreams, and we care about them as if our own.

I'm College TRIO Director that works with CUNY, First generation College students for the past 12 years. I was also, first generation college student, born and raised in Puerto Rico. So I know first hand the hurdles students go through and families when in college. Nina character and story touched me the most. I could relate to the father my daughter went to Fordham University.
