It was a good action movie. Sean Penn did an excellent job of acting.

It's unusual to see Sean Penn as an action hero, but it works here. This film was terrific to watch, with an outstanding cast, fine shooting and editing, and a compelling story. Penn remains one of my favorite actors, and he brings depth to this character beyond the script. The Gunman is what good movie making is all about: well crafted, fun to watch, involving.

I enjoyed it. It's good to see Sean Penn again.
