In my opinion it was a great movie. But it definitely caters to a certain clientele. Be sure you understand the genre you are going into before choosing to watch and you won't be disappointed.

Although I feel the ending lacked the thematic resonance it could’ve had, I still liked it a lot. It's quite compelling and has great visuals.

The imagery and cinematography was great. The plot was a bit stereotypical of a viking epic, but it was envisioned well.

Eggers is a creative force that deserves all trust. Even at a blockbuster scale, he can work his magic.
