Definitely a movie that keeps you entertained and although there are laughs the intense moments are also there.

good suspenseful thriller but needed to close gaps in the story

Unique direction and competence, rare to many horror blockbusters these days. The acting by the main cast was mostly solid, Ethan Hawke giving a uniquely tense performance. The tone and overall story was immersive, I could accept the film on its own terms. Some criticism would come from some of the other child actors not being very good and the cinematography feeling flat at times.
