Rather than a biopic, we see a true incident that happened whereby we witness how the compassion Mr. Rogers has for everyone impacts a man at an important stage of his life.

A truly remarkable and moving movie. Tom Hanks played Fred Rogers perfectly. I want to watch it again.

I was expecting another biopic in line with all the others that have been released lately. But this was done differently and stands as a great film, period. At times the form pushes the limits of its subject matter, but never crosses the line. There's something for both the initiated and the skeptic. I would have liked to see more of Mr Rogers and his career milestones in general in the film, but I appreciate the approach nonetheless. Lots of quotable moments and tender sequences.
