The acting is beautiful between the two queens. Also interesting subject, as the Elizabeth I always gets the movies. It was great to learn about Mary of Scots.

Beautifully constructed film with believable characters. The costume and wigs are incredible. Coming to the movie having knowledge of the English monarchy is helpful in processing the events that were portrayed. This movie is very genre-specific and may not be enjoyed by the average movie-goer, despite its historical accuracy and character portrayals.
