Absolutely wonderful! Filled with colour and joy. A total celebration of the vibrancy of Washington Heights.\r\rIt does meander slightly in the closing third. I appreciate the characters need to reflect on the themes - what's home? is America the land of the free? What's legacy? - but it needs tightening to maximise impact.\r\rOtherwise it's all round refreshing and incredible piece of film making

In the Heights is a great summer film - it has the perfect feel-good summer vibes. As a huge fan of the stage musical, there were some changes to the structure that I wasn't fully satisfied with, but I ultimately enjoyed the film and am going to see it again when it comes to theatres.

I'm probably very biased because I am a huge fan of the stage show. I enjoyed the first half of the show immensely. I missed Camila and a few of the first act songs however, it was an enjoyable experience overall. The second half of the movie was a little more difficult to enjoy. There was so much missing from the original show, I also feel there was a HUGE hole in the Benny and Nina plot.
