Cute cheesy comedy, that tries to approach a huge issue like immigration. It is a light way of showcasing the hard life of immigrants, specially in the border with Mexico.\r\rLoved, of course, how they broke the stereotype of the Mexican drug dealer, thank god! And respected how they portrayed the Mexican character with the same respect as the American ones, which doesn't really happen in American movies. Renato was very funny.\r\rI aslo liked the message behind the Asher character, but couldn't really connect with him. He was just a quirky funny character to me.

tried to be too many things at once, i.e. commentary on border patrol/immigration, rednecks, Mexican-US American stereotypes, slapstick, familial relationships, road trip, etc. Did have good moral themes, and good idea to look at things from a different perspective. the father's plan to arrange a "scavenger hunt" seemed contrived & too complicated to be believed in trying to unite the brothers. funny moments throughout. would recommend with noted reservations.
