It missed a couple great opportunities to subvert from the usual corky teen romance formula but overall it was still pretty great! The audience was super into it and it was fun being in a theatre full of people who were clearly loving the film. The scene near the end where his father confronts Simon was super genuine and almost made me cry!

Well written script, good character formation, emotionally believable and moving, positive messages.
