I like the story line and the idea behind it. The execution in the movie itself was very slow and uneventful. It had a good amount of accuracy for the events in the movie that were recorded in the Bible. I fell asleep several times (literally). The end was good and I may have gotten more out of it if I did not fall asleep as much. Not a high recommendation for this film. sorry

Great cast and enjoyed watching Fiennes as Clavius but the movie fell short. I don't think it offered anything different as the director suggests? It was slow moving and not sure it is comfortable for everyone and doubt it will have a major impact on any religious group? At the end I get the message of having faith and believing but I was expecting more? My friend is Jewish & I'm Catholic and we both felt about the same way.

A retelling of the crucifixion story of Jesus Christ from a new perspective it is still a Christian story through a through. Whatever historical inaccuracies and mishaps of the prop/makeup the actors gave decent performances for the material they were given. It is slow with a lot of fat to get through but the theme of faith/doubt pops in here and there. Some character motivations are smeared or just unreasonable but they are mostly shallow to begin with and remain so through out.
