It was such a great movie! The music, the casting, everything was amazing! Not to the point where it's five stars, but I really enjoyed it!

By far the best musical to movie adaptation I've seen by far. Not only did it recognize and appreciate the genius of the source materiel and preserve that, but it built upon it. With neccassary subplots to fill some gaps, and gorgeous visuals and creative staging. I'll be reccomending this to all the musical lovers in my life once it comes out.

The movie spoke on real issues that Latinos face everyday. I loved the music and dancing. Washington Heights is saturated with the richness of Dominican history so I would’ve loved to see some more homage to our roots. I also would’ve liked to see the more Dominican representation in terms of actors since the only Dominican actress I saw (Dascha Polanco) had a minor role.

Strong adaptation of the musical. The energy and joy in the production numbers was infectious and it was so refreshing to see dance shot so vividly, an aspect other film musicals frequently fail at. Anthony Ramos is wonderful - I cannot wait to see this again on a giant screen with a crowd!
