Was ok

As a Christian, I would not recommend this film. I think the scene about Jim and Tammy's premarital sexual encounter was something that should have not been shown and may not have even been true, unless the movie maker got this information directly from Jim or Tammy Baker. It seemed inappropriate. The film should have given equal time to the redemption part of their story..

The film spent too much time focused on the wealth acquisition of the Bakkers and too little time on their journey. Andrew Garfield seems miscast and didn't feel authentic in the role. For a movie about Tammy Faye, I hoped for more info about her. She was a smart and strong woman and the film felt unkind to me.

I saw this movie for free...so can't complain there. Jessica Chastain & Andrew Garfield definitely carry the movie here. There were a couple of good moments...laughing ones, shocking ones too...it's okay though. Good if you don't pay to see it.
